Johanna was raised in a loving, Christian home in California & had a wonderful childhood. She testifies to having not experienced "real life" until she joined the Army in 2003. She deployed to Iraq shortly after basic training. From 2003-2012, she struggled in her walk with the Lord. While overseas, she had a front row seat to death & all that comes with war. She deployed a total of three times, each time over a year long. She knew she believed in God, but there was a constant battle to overcome the effects of war.
