She had an amazing childhood, played multiple sports & had a passion for horseback riding. By her teenage years, the idea she had of a “perfect family” was shattered. She found out the man who raised her was not actually blood related when her biological father reached out to her through an online message & told her the truth about long-kept family secrets. She was left with many unanswered questions, insecurities & confusion. Drugs became her means of escaping a home life that was seemingly falling apart & by high school, she was completely addicted to heroin. She entered her first attempt of treatment at age 17 & completed high school in rehab, which didn’t heal her, but only led to many more years of seeking help in all the world had to offer.
