Sweet Home Cask Strength Wheated Bourbon

Tasting Notes/ Product Details Sweet Home is excited to announce the first 2025 release of our Specialty Barrel program: Our Cask Strength 8-Year Wheated Bourbon! This 51% Corn, 45% Wheat, 4% Malted Barley whiskey was distilled and filled in 2017 at MGP, then stored in an NC warehouse for 4 years until it arrived in Leeds, AL. Sweet Home is doing an unfiltered, straight out of the barrel approach, leaving the ABV between 60% and 62% (120 -124 Proof) among the 4 barrels.  This raw take on the wheated bourbon brings a strong char note to the otherwise subtle, grassy sweetness from the wheat.  Nose: Simple blend of smoke and dried fig Palate: signature bourbon maple syrup taste along with barrel char and soft notes of grassy sweet. Mouthfeel: Softly Coated High Proof burn but not Dry.  Easy Finish. Proof: 120-124 Proof ABV: 60-62%
