Soda Fired Ceramic Hand Thrown Vessel

Atmospheric.Soda fired rustic hand thrown ceramic vessel.  Would make an excellent vase or container.  Soda glazed in an atmospheric firing that created nice "orange peel" flashing effects and texture on the clay body surface.  Glazed interior reacted nicely to atmospheric firing.  It is about 4.25 inches high, has approximately a 4 inch mouth and is 4 inches at its widest.  Pottery and ceramics made by Nathan Cearley for Species by the Thousands here in the Catskills region.  More of our Catskills made functional folk pottery and ceramics, as well as found studio pottery old and new from the northeast and New England, can be discovered at our retail shop in Margaretville.
