M. with Haystack Revival missionary, Samuel Mills. Just 3 years after Adoniram Judson's arrival, he worked with Judson, though never becoming Baptist himself. He was also close friends with Samuel Newell, whose marriage he helped arrange after the death of his wife Harriett. Her memoir became one of the most influential missionary works of the age.
