Aleppo Pepper (Chipped)

True Aleppo pepper can only be grown in Aleppo, Syria. Most "Aleppo Pepper" on the market is actually grown in Turkey, directly north of Aleppo, and lacks the same quality. This product is a labor of love to bring to the market, as we have overcome an incredible amount of obstacles to safely import it. We source from women who are mostly war widows in the devastated area of Aleppo. The pepper is harvested, then quartered to remove the seeds prior to drying. Once dried, the pepper then takes a dangerous route to Beirut, where it is repacked and shipped to our California facility.
