Chicory Root Roasted Granulated

Chicory is made from the root of the endive plant and was used as a filler and flavor enhancer in parts of northern Europe at least as far back as the eighteenth century. Chicory root has a more "roasty" flavor than coffee. It can be brewed on its own or blended with ground coffee for a pleasant, lower-caffeine beverage. Naturally caffeine free, chicory root is reported to help cleanse the blood and improve the health of the liver.
