Johnson Jr, Steve Williams and Eric Wyatt to name a few. The Donvonté McCoy Quintet was the resident jazz band on the third floor of DC's fabled Eighteenth Street Lounge, which inspired this record's title. Both McCoy and the quintet were repeat winners in Washington City Paper's much-coveted annual Best of DC awards.
