Big Magic Anagama Option 2: $70/cubic ft. Loading February 28/march 1, 2026

    June 8 Big Magic Anagama: We will begin loading February 28, 2026, and finish on the next day or the morning after and light the kiln at that point.  There is single fired work in the kiln so getting through quartz inversion is slow the first day and a half as there will be big work.  On Wednesday the stoking and temperature begins to increase.  The firing will end sometime on Saturday or Sunday with finishing the soda kiln off.  We use three pounds of soda and get great coverage throughout the kiln. New to the process is the requirement of cookies if you are glazing your work.  Cookies are shallow discs of clay that go under the work to keep glaze off the shelves.  This saves the shelves, a lot of time grinding AND your work.
