Bogdan 400 Salmon Reel - RHW

A rare Bogdan model 400 salmon reel, set up for RHW. This is one you don't see every day! The largest model in the standard Bogdan catalog, this reel has a 4" diameter with a 1 5/8" spool width. It weighs approximately 16.5 ounces and was designated as having capacity to carry a #12 line and 275 yards of backing. It should accommodate just about any modern shooting head or mid or long belly spey line and would match up perfectly for rods 14' and up. We probably get more requests to "please find me one of these" than just about any other Bogdan model. This reel has seen some use and has assuredly landed its share of salmon. There is a fair amount of rash on the rims and though it is found in a fair number of places none of it stands out or is spectacular in nature.
