Edwards Moosehead Bamboo Fly Rod 8' 3/2 #5/6

A highly rare Edwards "Moosehead" bamboo fly rod, sold through Abbey & Imbrie. 8', 3-piece, 2-tip, and built for what feels to me like #5 or #6 line (I'd probably lean toward a #6). Medium fast action. Excellent refinished condition. There is a righthand set in the butt section and the grip and metal reel seat show the wear typical of a rod of this age, but it is in great shape overall. Spiral node pattern construction. "Moosehead" inked on the butt which also has the Abbey & Imbrie sticker on it. Wrapped red with black tipping, with four small signature wraps above the standard cork check wrap. The ferrule fits are good. Bright ferrules. Agate stripping guide. 5 7/8" grip done in a medium blunt cigar profile, which has some mild ridging. Handsome all-metal reel seat with slide band and bottom pocket cap.
