An early period Maxwell Leonard 50FF-5, 8', 3-piece 2-tip, and built for a #5 line. Serial #192 which date this rod to 1979. The rod weighs 4.1 ounces on my scale. This is a rare "full flex" model and the rod has a more delicate, deliberate action. Excellent, lightly used condition. The grip has some moderate soiling and wear but the rod is otherwise in superb shape, with excellent varnish, full oxidation still on the ferrules, and no meaningful issues that I could find at all. The butt cap does have a little bit of brassing edgwear in one spot but that's about it. Standard blonde cane and the rod is done in a three up node pattern configuration. The rod has a keeper and carbide stripper. The varnish is excellent, befitting Leonards of this period. Honey colored wraps, brown at the ferrules. The ferrules have the characteristic pewter finish and are in excellent shape. The grip is 6" long and shaped to a slim cigar. As noted, it has some soiling and a little ridging and some small dent
