Thomas and Thomas Salmon Bamboo Salmon Rod 8'6" 2/2 #8

A Thomas and Thomas "Salmon XL" bamboo fly rod, 8'6", 2-piece, 2-tip, and built for a #8 line. Serial #3186. The rod weighs 6.1 ounces. Impregnated model. The rod has seen light use with one tip in lawn cast condition. The other tip may have been used a couple of times judging by the minor wear to the snake guides and needing a minor straighten. The action is medium to medium-fast. The tips are mirrored but the guides are on different flats. The cane is oven tempered with slightly darker nodes done in a three up pattern. The rod utilizes 2 carbide strippers, black snake guides, and carbide tip tops. The main wraps are light yellow with light brown edges, dark brown at the ferrules, and black edges at the keeper, ferrules, and tip tops. Standard oxidized T&T swiss style ferrules with a collar on the males. The grip is 7" long and turned to a western profile with a hidden pocket cap for the uplocking screwlock.
