Desiccant Dryers for Drums Save on Material The Desiccant Dryer helps to remove moisture from the air, after it enters a drum. When pumping out material, air naturally enters the drum. If the air is not removed, moisture is present - resulting in the material curing and wasting material. When moisture enters the drum, it can also clog filters, causing curing inside the pumping mechanisms and hoses. The Science Behind It The "A" or "B" component, while in the drum, will react with atoms in the air resulting in the formation of crystal like skin structures. The    "A" or "B" material should be sealed properly to limit the potential of these formations that, if allowed to form, will contaminate the liquid. Once opened, the air needed to replace the displacement of the "A" or "B" material being removed should be dry. This can only be achieved be either low pressure nitrogen being let in the drum, as the material is displaced, or filtered through a Desiccant Dryer. Refill SDS
