A great shade loving plant.  Purple-black glossy crinkled leaves are stopped by lavender blue flower spikes in spring.  Bloom: April - May Light: part shade to full shade Soil: well drained moist garden soil Spacing: 12 - 15" Height at maturity: 4 - 6" Zones: 3 - 9 Pro tip: trim flower stems after bloom to tidy up appearance.
