Semi-soft cows' milk cheese of France named after the small village of Morbier in Franche-Comté region. It is ivory colored, soft and slightly elastic, and is immediately recognizable by the distinctive thin layer of ash that separates the cheese horizontally. It has a pungent washed rind and a very balanced flavor Long missing from the US market with only non PDO pasteurized versions available, we are so excited to have the real deal back in stock and available in the United States!
