Prunus cerasus X P. fruticosa From the ‘romance series’ out of University of Saskatchewan.  These are attractive and highly productive trees that generally top out around 8-10 feet (smaller than Bali) and have a fairly bushy growing habit.  The large, quarter-sized fruit makes picking go fast; they will yield 20-25 lbs. of fruit per year at maturity! Valentine: -50°F with occasional injury.  Prunus cerasus X P. fruticosa. Ripens in late early - mid August.  Brix = 16-18°. Ripens in late July. From the ‘romance series’ out of University of Saskatchewan. Bright red fruit with a more classic “pie cherry” flavor. Good for processing; not as sweet as Juliet/Romeo. Self-fertile, but yields will be higher with another variety nearby. 2-3 foot plants.
