Wowza - Dwarf Pie Cherry

Prunus cerasus X P. fruticosa Wowza: -50°F with occasional injury.  Prunus cerasus X P. fruticosa. Ripens in late August. Brix = 18-20°. A later release from University of Saskatchewan; not a member of the romance series, but with very similar genetics. Very large for a sour cherry; they have been described as “tiny Red Delicious - shaped cherries.”  Bred under the name ‘Big Red,’ this tree is a moderately lighter producer than some in the romance series, but the fruit is very impressive! The latest ripening cherry we grow.  2-3 foot plants.
