This jacket is cut slim / designed to be worn over a t-shirt/something thinner. If you intend to layer this with a thicker base layer/sweater, you may want to go up one size. Otherwise, if you own any of our t-shirts, you'll want the same size in this jacket. Though there is a size chart listed, keep in mind these measurements are taken on the outside of the garment while laying flat. The calfskin suede used in this product is a thick fabric. Outerwear is something I love, and though Southern California is stereotypically viewed as a warm-weather spot, if you ask anyone, the evenings can be chilly, especially by the beach.
