A bit of blue jeans history: in 1873, the Levi Strauss company patented the use of copper rivets as pocket reinforcements on their denim work pants. This wound up being one of the most consequential developments in workwear to date, revolutionizing and then standardizing construction best-practices for more than a century to come. One year later, the Greenebaum Brothers released their own pair of work jeans - a heavy duty 3-pocket waist overall, with stitched leather triangles reinforcing each pocket in place of Levi's rivets. Now, 150 years later, Warehouse have reproduced the Greenebaum Leather Bound Overalls for an audience that would otherwise never have heard of them (as well as a handful of eager historians and enthusiasts).
