Chris Shirt - Iron/Indigo

Founded by fashion industry veterans Susanna Widlund and Matt Aprile (of Indi+Ash), Nymane is an ethically-produced slow fashion women's label with a focus on quality and sustainability. Our first drop from the brand features an assortment of knits and wovens, handmade styles produced in small batches by artisans in India (for the woven cotton pieces) and Peru (for the alpaca knits). The Chris Shirt is a roomy overshirt modeled off of classic work shirts, with a single chest pock, curved hem, and roomy body. It's cut with a large box pleat down the back, allowing it to drape more naturally and giving a more relaxed silhouette.  It's made from a handwoven denim dyed with natural indigo and iron based dyes for a deep black/blue fabric, further enhanced by the micro floral print throughout. It's solid and hard-wearing, a fabric that starts out stiff but will relaxed considerably over time, developing as a unique patina as it fades from wear. Fits true to size with an oversized cut.
