Coat, Man's, Combat, Tropical (Model 220) - Olive
This is a McCoy's reproduction of the first tropical climate jacket issued by the US Military, originally debuting in 1962 and based on jump jackets from the second World War. The first models of these utilized a lightweight cotton poplin fabric (as does this model), which was popular for it's breathability in heat and quick-drying properties - later models (from the 1970s onwards) were made with a ripstop instead. Though we describe the poplin fabric as "lightweight" above, that's lightweight for a jacket. Still substantial, this 100% cotton fabric is custom made for The Real McCoy's in Japan to match the exact specifications of their original samples. As such, it will age as authentically as is available outside of some sort of time travel plot. It's finished with custom urea repro buttons all over it - closing up the pockets, closing up the cuffs, holding down the epaulets, and all up and down the inside of the hidden double placket.
