Warehouse & Co came about in 1995 as the final members of the Osaka 5, the collective responsible for driving the vintage and selvedge denim boom of the 1990s. Founded by former Evisu and Full Count employees, the twin brothers Kenji and Kenichi Shiotani, Warehouse is known for their meticulous detail and considered construction. Interesting to think about, but there's a decent chance that your grandpa's favorite hoodie was nicer than yours is (if your grandpa was the hoodie type). Inspired by vintage athletic knits, Warehouse's lot 451 Hoodies are as good as it gets, being made from a 10oz, 100% cotton loopwheel knit with a brushed interior and flatlocked seams. The fabric used is knit for Warehouse at one of the only remaining loopwheelers on the planet, in Wakayama, Japan. There are only a few hundred functioning loopwheel knitting machines left anywhere, and a dwindling number of artisans trained to use and maintain them.
