Modesto Straight Fit - 16oz Denim

The Modesto Fit is Freenote's newest denim cut in their (now) 7 style lineup. They call it their "workwear fit", and we're inclined to agree, as these feature a high rise and a full top block with wide, straight legs. They'll fit over boots without issue, and have enough room to really move around in, being pretty unrestrictive in general. The details are important too, and they weren't skipped - from the copper rivets to the flat-felled seams and 1/8" double needle stitching, the construction is extremely solid, durable and robust while remaining traditional. They have the classic five pocket configuration, with acorn shaped back pockets and a copper button fly. Inside, the pockets are cut from a vintage Japanese herringbone stripe fabric. They're made from a 16oz, 100% cotton Japanese selvedge denim with a green cast indigo dye. Initially quite dark and stiff, it will soften and change color substantially over time, especially after washing, as the indigo fades. With a weight of 16oz
