Sumi Dyed Horse Double Riders Jacket (SHR-58)
Taking some inspiration from the legendary Buco J-24L double rider, with its black tea core body and detachable mouton collar, Y'2's Sumi Horse Double Rider is an absolutely outstanding leather jacket. Opting for a more contemporary body pattern than the classic D-pocket configuration, with two welted handwarmer pockets at the sides, a single chest pocket, and a snap coin pocket on the front. The vintage details are there too, however, from the half belt to the detachable mouton collar, nothing is missing. It's made from Y'2's Sumi dye leather, a vegetable tanned 1.5mm tea core horsehide. Dyed with traditional Sumi ink from the Nara prefecture, this leather takes twice as long to finish due to the slow penetration of the antique coloring method. Sumi ink is derived from ash, and delivers an extremely rich and solid black coloration, that will gradually wear down and fade over time, revealing the natural interior of the leather.
