The style is reissued season after season in new and core fabrics, making for a perfect evergreen style. On top of that, Freenote's focus on production quality means these will be on your legs for a good long time. This batch is made from a custom 11oz Japanese denim, designed to reproduce a sample fabric from the early 1900s. Woven on a vintage shuttle loom, it has a tightly-woven face, with small neps and irregularities, as well as a very subtly hairy texture. The denim is sanforized (a treatment to prevent fabrics from shrinking excessively when washed), but is otherwise unwashed, and has a fairly rigid feel despite only being 11oz. Over time, and especially after the first few washes, the fabric will soften considerably, additionally developing slow, low-contrast fades like the original fabric.
