Back & Sides: Rosewood  Top: Adirondack Spruce Lower Bout: 13 1/2” Scale Length: 24 1/2” Nut Width: 1  7/8” Notes: Circa 1931 Regal "No. 4 Custom Built" model. X braced by Regal in its Chicago factory. This line of Regal's offerings was meant to be competitive with Martins of the period and there are many similarities both in construction and tonally. The guitar is the "Concert" sized version of Regal's "Custom Built" models. Spruce top with rosewood back/sides. 12 fret slotted peghead. Mahogany neck has a deep "C" profile.  Tuners appear to be original and function well.  Replacement ebony bridge/bone saddle.  Bone nut appears to be original.  Some pitting in first three frets that does not affect playability of the guitar.   Ebony fingerboard.  Paper oval Regal label is in tact and very well preserved.  Pearl Regal script on rosewood headstock veneer.  Oval metal Regal medallion on back of headstock.  One approximately 4.0" long gouge on guitar's top under bridge area that does
