Year Two History & Humanities Student Notebook
Steadfast Year Two begins with Roman antiquity and the fall of Rome and progresses through the Middle Ages, Renaissance, Reformation, and Scientific Revolution. Students review the fundamentals of the Christian faith and trace the growth and development of the Christian Church, which became the predominant religion in Europe and had a significant impact on Western civilization. As students consider spiritual truths, they are challenged to write their own personal creeds and statements of faith. Students will also investigate the fundamental beliefs and teachings of Islam and contrast it with Christianity. The booklist for HH Year Two includes works by Augustine, C.S. Lewis, Martin Luther, Machiavelli, James Sire, Francis Schaeffer, and others.
