Black hatched calfskin tassel loafers with split toe apron stitch. The Tradizione Collection is the highest end of our line-up. Hand-lasted, hand-welted and sewn by hand, it features our signature narrow waist fiddleback "violino" solo and metal toe taps. It's the very exact correspondent of our Sixpence Bespoke, but made on one of our Ready to Wear lasts. The tassel is most probably an invention of a northern European fisherman that needed to grab laces with gloves on. The fame of the tassel loafer, though, can be pinpointed to 1942 when the Hungarian actor Paul Lukas started wearing them in states.
