Brown chukka boot in French suede. Chukka was likely first worn in India by off-duty soldiers. Eventually, British Army soldiers wore a similar boot during the Western Desert Campaign of WWII. The Chukka made its way back west because of Nathan Clark, who served in the war and brought the shoe back to his family to recreate. The Classica Collection is our first and still most popular line. Hand-lasted and welted by hand, it features our signature "swallow bird" burgundy shank sole, which is sewn by hand with a traditional Duer machine.
