Unassembled 8 Frame Commercial Grade Deep Hive Body

Our 8-frame deep hive bodies are the standard 9 5/8″ in depth. They feature a full top joint which greatly reduces breakage, and a 5/8″ routered frame rest. Handholds with deep, profiled uppercuts are easy to grip and allow water to run off the bottom. Commercial grade is a popular grade for hobbyists, sideliners and anyone who is especially concerned about the wood quality. There will be no holes or potential holes, large splits or milling defects. We attempt to keep any solid, tight knots at least 1 ½” from nailing areas. Knots are allowed within the panel as long as they are structurally sound. Knots should never be in handholds.  Ships unassembled. To assemble yourself, you will want a rubber mallet to gently hammer the joints together. They are tight and snug, making a very sturdy box!
