It is knitted sideways, from one tip to the other. A short-row section in the center creates triangular wedges in the garter field, shaping the shawlette into a crescent. This versatile piece can be draped loosely around the shoulders or fastened in place by pulling one of the leafy ends through any cable crossing. Many thanks to the kind and talented knitters who tested this pattern. Your thoughtful insights were invaluable and much appreciated! Instructions are fully written, with optional charts.
