
SiS: GLASSY FOSSIL CONIFER Petrified Wood Bookends - Saddle Mtn. Wash.
This gorgeous set of bookends is one of the cleanest and gemmiest mid-size sets we cut from one of the most perfectly fossilized and most uniquely colored Washington State petrified wood logs we've come across in quite some time. This fossil wood turned stone comes from the Saddle Mountain area in Central Washington. It's a beautiful specimen with great growth rings and finely detailed wood structure under magnification in pleasing naturally warm colors. This is a really well preserved ancient redwood (sequoia). The mirror polish is world class and really brings this stone to life. It's definitely one of the most unique and artful Saddle Mtn. specimens you're likely to encounter, all cut into a perfectly matched and beautifully functional set of bookends! This is a really gemmy set of bookends cut from the center of a nice, larger sized petrified log that came from our neighboring state.
