The Lady and the Unicorn Cross Stitch Pattern
In this refined cross stitch piece, Gera! designer Kyoko Maruoka revisits the fascinating theme of the Lady and the Unicorn originally pictured in a medieval French tapestry. In this interpretaion, the lady is picture elegantly seated on a unicorn surrounded by lush, abundant flowers. Two little rabbits play below in the grass while birds fly above. The work is entirely covered with cross stitches, with a soft, red background adding a warm glow to the piece. As an alternative, you could omit the background stitches and instead use a colored fabric. Aida in coral would work well. This design is available as a printed pattern.
