The Mishimoto street thermostat opens at a lower temperature than OEM thermostats to maintain optimal temperatures, even under extreme driving conditions. Once the engine is fully warmed up the Mishimoto GTR thermostat will open up at 66°C, allowing the coolant to flow through the engine sooner thus reducing and maintaining cooler engine temperatures.
