Calamus Root Powder
Botanical Name - Acorus calamus Other Names - myrtle grass, gladdon, beewort, sweet flag, cinnamon sedge Origin - USA Calamus root is NOT recommended for internal use. Use of calamus root in the United States is limited to topical and aromatic applications. Also known as and cinnamon sedge, the powdered rhizome is used to scent lotions, perfumes and bath products. Typical Preparations - Use in body powders and macerate in oil or alcohol for use in lotions, creams and other body products. Add to incense resin blends and to potpourri mixes as a fixative. Packaging - We package all of our herbal, fruit powders and spices in a heat sealed mylar bag which serves as a very effective barrier to light, oxygen, odors, flavors, moisture, and bacteria. The bag can be resealed with any household iron or curling iron. Precautions - NOT recommended for internal use.
