Botanical Name - Unicaria tomentosa Other Names - una-de-gato Origin - Peru Cat's claw is a woody rainforest vine also cultivated in South and Central America. It is so-named because the plant, which can reach up to 100 feet in height, has curved thorns that resemble a cat's claws. The dried, powdered inner bark is used to make teas, tinctures and capsules. Packaging - We package all of our herbal, fruit powders and spices in a heat sealed mylar bag which serves as a very effective barrier to light, oxygen, odors, flavors, moisture, and bacteria.
