Tea companions include lavender, chamomile and rosehips. Culinary Usages - Use in herbal tea blends. The flowers may also be used in baked goods Cosmetic Usages - Infuse in alcohol and glycerin to make traditional rose water.  Rosa canina contains vitamin C and other antioxidantsw and was included among food crops commonly grown in residential “victory gardens” to supplement the public food supply during World War II. Then, like now, the petals were used to make teas, syrups, elixirs and various cosmetic preparations. Decorative Usages - Add to potpourri mixtures and other herbal displays.
