20"h x 40-48"dia, apx | 3000 - 4500 lbs We begin with a massive basalt boulder that has weathered for millions of years under environmental exposure. The exterior of the fountain alternates the natural surface of the boulder with highly polished facets, providing a dramatic play of textures accentuated by the cascade of water. The natural durability of natural stone makes this fountain suitable for commercial use. Each Maru Fountain is unique; color, size, and shape will vary. Please note that due to the natural weathering of the stone over millions of years, you may experience some minimal spalling or flaking off of small pieces of the natural facets. Our basalt material has some non-structural inclusions that appear as thin white lines in the natural material. Given the size and weight of these pieces, it is recommended to use a custom reservoir for this installation.
