This Over Pressure Valve will prevent catastrophic damage to low pressure hoses and fittings in the event a first stage regulator has a failure which causes a rise in Intermediate Pressure. Should be used any time there isn't a 2nd stage regulator connected to a first stage as is the case in drysuit inflator bottles, bailout bottles utilizing 2nd stage shutoff valves, or rebreather Oxygen regulator setups.
