Mountain Landscape Ring in Sterling Silver with 22K Gold and 22K Gold/Sterling Silver Bi-Metal, Blue Sapphire Size 9.25

  This is a variation on my original Mountain Landscape Ring, adding a small grove of my hand pierced trees in high karat 22K gold and sterling silver bi-metal, a 2mm Blue Sapphire set in 18k yellow gold, and a ball of 22K Gold and to depict sun/moon. I created the trees in a bi-metal of high karat gold and sterling silver.  The process I use for this is to fuse 22K gold to sterling silver and roll through the rolling mill to create a sheet that I can then hand pierce the trees from.  This results in a beautiful piece of high karat gold atop sterling silver. The sun/moon is a ball of 22K gold.The 2mm Blue Sapphire is set in 18k yellow gold. I was inspired to create this Mountain Landscape Ring by a favorite peak here in the Eastern Sierra. Mt. Tom's presence is massive, dominating the skyline in the Owens Valley.I created this ring using one of my favorite techniques of piercing and overlay.
