The Warrior

The Warrior {artwork highlighting Philippians 1:12} My first painting of the new year is kinda a big deal to me. I can’t explain it but it has become a deliberate act of worship to the Lord as I attempt to set a direction for the upcoming year. I had so many verses I was praying over but this one stood out to me. I’ve come back to it so many times in the last couple decades and I was finally ready to pair it with artwork. “I want you to know, that what has happened to me has really served to advance the gospel…” (Philippians 1:12) That’s how I view my trials, my heartbreaks, the pain in my story. Wounded to point others to hope. Pain in my life has come so that more people can hear about His love. I know that might sound strange. Sometimes people hear my story and feel sorry for what I’ve walked through… maybe you get what I’m talking about, but the truth is feeling the arms of God—who held me close and carried me through—and His power that redeemed my life, has been the gift
