Think On These Things

What do you think about? I remember learning this verse as a child: "Whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things." (Philippians 4:8) Our thought life directs our daily lives! Are you a worrier? Are you full of fear or anxiety? Do you find yourself drawn to things that leave you empty? Do you get frustrated when you do what you don't want to do and don't do what you know that you should do? The Lord keeps reminding me that it all starts in the mind. When you have thoughts... even the fleeting ones that come in the mind that tempt to draw your attention away from Him and the Life He offers, begin with asking yourself, "Is this true? Is this right? Am I dwelling on things that are lovely or admirable?" And the beauty is... HE WILL HELP YOU! He will help you dig through the muck and mire and weed out those thoughts that aren't of Him. His voice is never d
