Iris Banded Tiger

(Barbara & David Schmieder 2006) SDB iris, 14" (36 cm), M.  HM 2008, AM 2011. Very showy yellow white ground plicata with purple markings. Nice! S. pale yellow haze over white ground, medium purple plicata markings along rib and around edge; F. white, several narrow broken dark purple bands radiating from beard becoming solid color near edge of upper half and continuing as lightly ruffled wire edge around lower half, light yellow underlies upper half; beards white tipped vivid orange-yellow.  Sdlg. 97-AR-6: Attention Getter X Rebus IRIS SHIP JULY - SEPTEMBER DEPENDING ON YOUR REGION.
