White Dutch Clover
White Clover is the world’s most popular clover and is widely adapted within the United States. White Dutch Clover is a strain of white clover that originated in Holland. It is a low growing perennial that is best suited to moist, well-drained, fertile soils. Being a legume, white clover is able to take nitrogen from the air and fix it in the soil through action of bacteria on their roots. Many years ago white clover was a component of turfgrass mixtures only to fall out of favor with the introduction of selective herbicides. Today they are once again gaining popularity as a more eco friendly addition to lawns as white clover can supply up to 1/3 of the nitrogen needs for grasses. It produces white flowers throughout the year and develops prostrate stems that root freely. Grows 4-8 inches high. CLICK HERE to download White Dutch Clover technical data sheet as seen below.
