White Yarrow (Achillea millefolium)

Butterflies can’t resist White Yarrow with its dense clusters of pretty, white flowers atop highly aromatic, fern-like leaves. Native throughout North America (except for the driest desert areas), yarrow tolerates heat plus low or high humidity. This versatile plant can be grown for cut flowers (up to 24 inches in height) in a garden or meadow planting where it attracts pollinators. Or it can be grown and regularly mowed short (3 to 4 inches) as a drought tolerant, low maintenance lawn substitute that tolerates moderate foot traffic (after becoming established).
