Yuzu is a Japanese citrus with hints of mandarin and yellow grapefruit. Its candied peel can be eaten like a candy or paired with a fruit salad, a ginger bread, cheese toast. Yuzu is native to eastern Asia. It was introduced to Japan during the Tang Dynasty around the year 700. It resembles a small lime, 5 to 8 cm in diameter. It is harvested in October in the region of Koshi in Japan. The Yuzu is yellow or green depending on its degree of maturity.
