Tradescantia Concord Grape Common Name: Spiderwort Clumps of grassy blue-green foliage with concord-grape-colored flowers contrast nicely. Flowers from late spring and mid-summer. Cut back foliage after flowering to encourage re-blooming. It gets its common name from a secretion that is released when cut, becomes threadlike and silky upon hardening similar to a spider's web. Use in beds and borders. Attracts butterflies. The perfect addition to the shade garden. Height: 15-18" Spread: 18-24" Exposure: Part sun Zone: 3-9 Photos credit & courtesy of Walters Gardens, Inc.
