Learn to Sew - How to Use A Sewing Pattern

Do you know how to use a sewing machine?  Are you excited to start making some actual projects?  This is the workshop for you!  We'll be going over tips and process for how to follow a sewing pattern, covering key topics such as: How to measure correctly How much fabric to buy Key elements of a pattern Making it fit you Layout of pattern on fabric Construction instructions Testing and fixing mistakes Our host sewist will use a beginner-friendly pattern, such as PJ pants, to discuss the topics.  However, feel free to bring a pattern that you have purchased, and we can help to answer any questions when possible.  If you found a pattern online and have the PDF, please bring the printed pattern on paper, not the digital PDF form.  You can also purchase beginner friendly patterns from the store when you arrive! While there may be an opportunity to begin cutting fabric if time permits, the primary goal is to help attendees overcome the intimidation of using patterns. Participants will
