THE LEGACY: A true cut of Kentucky heritage.  The wood used here is on its fourth life:  first as an old-growth Cypress, then felled and milled into dimensional lumber for the fabrication of fermenting vats for at the legendary Kentucky River Distillery at Camp Nelson in Jessamine County, KY, itself now recognized as a national monument.  My grandfather, C.M. Johnson, the maintenance supervisor and employee of the distillery for nearly 30 years, breathed the third life into a decommissioned fermenter by taking the seasoned staves to Lexington in the 1960's where they served as a rather impressive fence for our family home for the next almost 60 years.  When the family property was sold in 2020, I knew the wood had to come with us.  Now this rare wood begins what I hope will be its fourth life, in the form of these pot racks.   I've planed, shaped, sanded, and finished this wood (each piece has been sealed with a water-based polyurethane) but I felt it was more poetic to celebrate its h
